En la última tanda de prácticas libres con miras a la clasificación Sebastian Vettel se quedó con el mejor tiempo seguido muy de cerca por Lewis Hamilton.
El tiempo de Sebastian Vettel se convirtió en un nuevo récord del circuito. Un sospechoso humo salió del Lewis Hamilton que lo mandó de vuelta a los boxes para que sus mécanicos lo revisen. Bottas y Räikkonen completaron el top 4.
