Chick Scores Second Consecutive Top-10 Finish With JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour

Mandy Chick captured her second consecutive top-10 run with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour last Saturday at Anderson Speedway.

"We've had a really good start to the season with two top 10s," she said. "It's good for the consistency and for the points championship. Plus, after this weekend we still have a car in one piece. So goals were accomplished last weekend."

Chick carried speed throughout the weekend as she averaged around eighth quickest on the speed charts in practice. She then went out and qualified 14th quickest for the 100-lap feature.

After a grueling race around the high-banked, quarter-mile oval and several cautions, Chick climbed to a ninth-place finish. It was her best run in the two races this year.

"It was a crazy race for sure," she said. "The car came home in one piece, but had marks around every corner of it. We battled our way forward and made ground with all of the cautions as well. It's a solid start for the championship and now we're on to the next race."

The next JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race will be on July 4 at Jennerstown Speedway in Jennerstown, Pa.

"This is a new track for us and for the series as well," Chick said. "I'm hoping that we will get a good baseline setup to get a feel for the track and adjust from there. It'll be key to be efficient in practice to adapt to the track and also a learning curve for me to be able to soak up as much information as possible."

Team Chick Motorsports enters the event ranked fourth in the championship standings.
