After finishing second at Brainerd a few weeks ago, Amy Ruman and team are looking to continue their front running momentum at Road America, Round 4 of the edited 2020 Championship Presented by Pirelli schedule.
Trans Am returns to Wisconsin for its 49th appearance at one of the nation’s most famed road courses and one of the fastest tracks on the schedule, running in conjunction with the NASCAR Xfinity Series weekend. The No. 23 McNichols/Cornertech Chevrolet Corvette has been prepped and is ready to race at the legendary 14-turn 4.048 mile track, a circuit Ruman has yet to win at in her Trans Am career. Ruman will be up against 11 other competitors in her TA class, with all class entries totaling 51.
“I love racing at Road America, it’s such a great track to showcase and really use the horsepower these TA cars have. We have had a strong start to the year with two podium finishes, we need to be consistent this weekend and put together some good sessions with solid times. Hopefully, we can bring home a win,” remarked Ruman.
Testing, practices, and qualifying will take place Thursday through Saturday. The TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature race is slated for 8:00am CT followed by the TA2® race Powered by AEM at 2:15pm CT, both races are 25-laps (100-mi).
