After rewriting the record books last weekend in Seattle, Brittany Force is back at the wheel of her Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster, ready to take on the 37th edition of the NHRA Sonoma Nationals with confidence and speed.

The two-time Top Fuel World Champion arrives at Sonoma Raceway with a surge of momentum, having posted a new national speed record of 341.85 mph and reaching the final round at Pacific Raceways. Now, with just three events remaining before the NHRA Countdown to the Championship, Force sits fifth in the Mission Foods points standings and is aiming for another strong qualifying effort.

“Our team is looking for a big weekend in Sonoma,” said Force. “We’re coming off a solid performance in Seattle, and this is one of my favorite tracks on the calendar. We had a great race day here in 2022, and we’re hoping to repeat that success.”

Force, nicknamed the “Queen of Speed,” owns five of the seven fastest speeds in NHRA history, underscoring the team’s potential despite crew chief David Grubnic’s insistence that high speed is not the primary goal. The focus instead remains on consistent performance and race wins.

This weekend also marks Brittany’s shot at claiming her first Mission Foods 2Fast/2Tasty Challenge title of the season — a special competition awarding bonus points and prize money to those who excel in reprised semifinal matchups from the previous round.

“I love this track, I love this area,” Force added. “And it would mean a lot to finish Sunday holding the Sonoma wine goblet trophy.”
